Dear Luz,

I am so sorry for your loss. I realize how difficult a time this has been for you. Over the last few months I have been lucky enough to come to know you as the strong, caring, giving and exemplary woman that you are. I have no doubt that you were a wonderful and supportive daughter who made your mother very proud and who alleviated your mother and your surrounding family of as much grief and discomfort as humanly possible. I am glad to think you have family and friends around you now. You deserve some support and love yourself!

I was so sad to hear of your loss. But I know that Dominga could always be proud of her family and was loved and supported by you all, throughout her life and at its end.

I am sorry that I learned about her passing while I was away, or I would have been at the funeral today. I hope this note and the flowers and donation I sent will let you know that I am thinking of you today.

I am very sorry for the passing of your beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. I will always remember her as a warm, cheerful and positive woman who dedicated her life to her family and friends. Undoubtedly, she will be greatly missed.
