Joseph Paul "Reds" Maguire of East Norriton, age 84, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Senior Suites of East Norriton.
Born in West Conshohocken on November 7, 1925, son of the late Catherine (Canavan) Maguire and James M. Maguire.
J. Paul lived in Conshohocken and West Conshohocken all of his life. He was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken, and a former member of St. Gertrude RC Church, West Conshohocken.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a retired crane operator with Alan Wood Steel; then he was the caddy master with St. David's Golf Club.
He enjoyed all sports, especially Notre Dame�s, playing golf and horse races.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James M. Maguire; and two sisters, Ann Cermanski and Kathleen C. Yetter .
His funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 2, at 10:30 a.m. from the St. Matthew's RC Church, Third and Fayette streets, Conshohocken, with Fr. Gasper A. Genuardi officiating.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the Church. Interment St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken.
