Dominic J. DiCecco, 89, of Norristown, a retired mechanical engineer, died Sunday, June 27, 2010 in Regina Nursing Home in Norristown.
Husband of Mary (Verratti) DiCecco.
Born in Farasanmartino, Italy on March 18, 1921, son of the late Annantonia (Natale) and Vincenzo DiCecco.
He had been living in Jeffersonville since 2002, formerly of Folsom and Marcus Hook.
He was a member of St. Teresa of Avilia RC Church and a former member of Our Lady of Peace in Milmont Park.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II, where he received the Good Conduct Medal and American Theater Service Medal.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daugher Marianne (Kenneth) Zollers of Eagleville; a son Joseph (sara) DiCecco of Rochester, Minn.; a sister Mary Savelloni of Millbury, Mass.; five grandchildren: John, Daniel, Anna Marie, Marissa and Nicholas.
His fumeral mass will be held Saturday, July 3 at 10 a.m. from St. Teresa of Avilia RC Church, 1260 S. Trooper Road, Norristown with Msgr Andrew J. Golias officiating.
Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield Twp.
