Florence (Wilk) Prota of Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at Abington Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, she was 81.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Prota.
Born in Simpson (Carbon County) on May 12, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Voinski) Wilk.
A resident of North East Philadelphia for the past 48 years, she was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church of Philadelphia.
She was a devoted mother of Debra (Jim) Zwiebel and Patricia (Gregory) Scharff.
Proud grandmother of Jake, Nika, Lily and Xavier.
Devoted sister of Nina Budwell, Philly Wilk, Pat Burnett and Jimmy Wilk.
A funeral Mass for Florence will be held Friday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church, 11301 Academy Rd., Philadelphia.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Moore & Snear Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken and again on Friday from 9 to 9:50 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
